Starcraft 2 - 2on2 tournament

Stage 2 of DSRack LAN #(3 in 1)

Starcraft 2 - 2on2 competitions are somewhat rare and unseen, but that does stop us from trying it out anyway. To make to most of this tournament and attract as many teams as possible you can participate as both BYOC and non-BYOC.

Non-BYOC participants will share a limited number of computer and are assigned a seat when their matches are up.

Structure

• Group stage: 20/10 (Wednesday) from 18:00 to about 00:00.
  • 8 groups with 8 teams giving every team 8 x BO1 matches.
  • #1-4 advances to A-brackets.
  • #5-8 makes it into B-brackets.
• A playoff: 21/10 (Thursday) from 11:00 to about 00:00.
  • Single elimination; BO3 matches.
  • Semifinals are played BO5.
  • The final is played BO7.
• B playoff: 21/10 (Thursday) from 11:00 to about 00:00.
  • Single elimination; BO3 matches.
  • Semifinals are played BO5.
  • The final is played BO7.

Entry fee

You need either a LAN-seat at the price of €30 or shared pool ticket €20 + a tournament ticket which is €10 pr. player to participate in this competition.

Prize distribution

Cash prizes in the main playoffs:

• €1.000
• €500
• €300
• €200

Prize pot requirements

The prize pot is based on the requirement of 64 teams participating. If fewer teams attend the prize distribution will be adjusted to the match these levels:

• 64 teams: €2.000
• 48 teams: €1.500
• 32 teams: €1.000
• 16 teams: €500
